What types of companies are most likely to adopt cloud-based CRM software services? Why? What companies might not be well suited for this type of software?

The types of companies that adopt cloud-base CRM software service is normally from small business which there are no large up-front hardware and software investments or lengthy implementation on corporate computer system. Software as a service (SaaS) and cloud-based versions of enterprise systems are starting to offer by smaller vendors such as NetSuite and Plex Online. Large companies adopt cloud-based CRM software service because it easy to track sales performance against objective in real time and to monitor key performance and sales volume.  Moreover, cloud-based CRM software service had been using in different business function and variety of system. Some companies are not suit with this software service which is companies have large investment on solution and concern with security issues.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of using cloud-based enterprise applications?
Advantages:

CRM software service may help the company grow up new sale leads by using email and Web-to-lead. It is because CRM software may track more field activities with automated reports and monitor such key performance indicator and other sales. CRM software service also can be access your data anywhere and anytime. An internet cloud infrastructure maximizes enterprise activity and efficiency. Other than that, cloud computing deliver faster and more accurate retrieval of applications and data.
Disadvantages:
Not all companies experience gains of the magnitude and cloud computing does have drawbacks. Many companies are concerned about maintaining control of their data and security. Companies that manage their CRM software with a cloud infrastructure have no guarantees that their data will still exist in the future although CRM vendors have taken great pains to address these issues.

What management, organization and technology issues should be addressed in deciding whether to use a conventional CRM system versus a cloud-based version?


Many companies are concerned about maintaining control of their data and security. Although cloud computing companies are prepared to handle these issues, availability assurance and service level agreements are not always available. At the same time, companies that manage their CRM Software with a cloud infrastructure have no guarantees that their data will be available at all times or even that the provider will still exist in the future.
